STRATEGIC THINKING - STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP

The management team of the organisation is loyal and hardworking, and they have the best of operational and strategic intentions. But their shortcomings are typical. One area where significant improvement is needed is the strategy process:

  • In formulating a strategic vision for the organisation based on facts, informed assumptions, and the best-possible what-if thinking
  • In implementing and communicating the vision throughout the organisation to clarify and align the role of every strategically critical player and process

Strategy is about the top team's vision - and will. It is about forward thinking, rather than financial projections and trend lines into the unknown. It is about direction, not time. Strategy deals with what an organisation wants to become.
